Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, stays, and activities offered by Waipari Hunting Lodge (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, entering the property, or participating in hunting or outdoor activities, you agree to these Terms.
Bookings & Payments

A deposit of 50% is required to secure all bookings.

Full payment must be made by 14 days before arrival.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings if payment terms are not met.
Cancellations & Refunds
Our cancellation policy is
-
More than 90 days before arrival: Full Refund
-
31-89 days before arrival: 50% refund.
-
Within 30 days of arrival / No-show: No refund.
If extreme weather, road closures, fire risk, or safety conditions require us to cancel your booking, you will receive either:

a full refund, or
-
the option to transfer your stay to new dates.
We are not responsible for travel delays, missed flights, third-party booking issues, or personal circumstances.
Hunting, Outdoor Activities & Safety
By participating in hunting or outdoor activities on our property, you acknowledge that:

Hunting involves inherent risks, including terrain hazards, weather, wildlife, firearms, and accidents.

You agree to follow all instructions from lodge staff or guides.

You agree to act responsibly with firearms at all times.

You must hold a valid New Zealand Firearms Licence to carry or use a firearm on the property unless you are under the direct supervision of a licensed guide.

Alcohol or drugs must not be consumed before or during hunting activities.

We reserve the right to stop any hunt or remove any guest from an activity if safety is compromised.
Guests are responsible for their own fitness, health, and medical needs while on the property.
Firearms, Weapons & Equipment

Visitors bringing firearms must comply with all New Zealand firearm regulations.

Firearms must be stored safely when not in use.

Guests are liable for loss or damage to lodge equipment caused by negligence or misuse.

Any illegal weapons or unsafe behaviour will result in removal from the property without refund.
Property Rules
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests:

Respect the land, facilities, livestock, wildlife, and other guests.

No smoking inside buildings.
-
Fires may only be lit in designated areas and may be restricted during fire-risk periods.

Keep gates closed and follow farm tracks as instructed.
Damage caused by careless or reckless behaviour will be charged to the guest.
Liability & Risk
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law:

Waipari Hunting Lodge is not responsible for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from hunting, outdoor activities, or use of the property.

Guests participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own insurance.

We are not liable for lost or stolen personal items.

You agree to waive claims against us except in cases of proven negligence.
We strongly recommend guests carry travel insurance and, for hunters, equipment insurance.
Environmental Care
We operate on rural land and ask guests to:

Dispose of rubbish properly

Avoid disturbing native wildlife
-
Follow any biosecurity or hunting rules in place
We reserve the right to close access areas during conservation or hazard-management work.
Privacy
We collect only the information needed to manage bookings and improve guest experience.
